    Perhaps its time to start a petition to increase fuel duty?

    I thought that was existing Government policy? Or do you mean by even more?

    I was thinking to show support for increasing fuel duty, in response to the petition(s), shown on tonights news(with the usual pro car faces) - demanding a reduction in fuel duty.

    Agreed. Actually, a petition for the replacement of the road fund license with an additional duty on petrol / diesel would be even better: that way, the more fuel you consume, the more you pay. Surprisingly, the captains of industry and the politicos in their seven-series beemers and mercs don't buy into this obvious (and cheap to implement) idea...
