Diesel spill - Top of the Mound (updated)

    Just had mail from SWMBO that she went down crossing Princes St on the sharp left hand bend heading down the Mound, and another cyclist also skidded. Diesel they thought.

    Not sure whether there's any specific way to report this (fill that hole?) but be careful folks.

    OK. On further investigation it turns out to be *not* crossing Princes St, but on the left turn outside the bank (here). I apologise on behalf of SWMBO's extremely bad initial description.

    Who's your contact at CEC, Chris? We should probably correct them. (sorry!)

    That's exactly where I picked up a three-stitch hole in my chin in Dec 2004 after sliding out sideways. I'd checked over the offending surface (though it was too dark to see much) to see if it had been a patch of frost or a piece of ironwork but there was nothing other than a general slidiness, so I decided a bus was to blame.
