    From today's chipwrapper;

    Gill Wiser, Abercorn Cabs' office manager, said some drivers willing to work a 60-70 hour week could take home up to £900.

    Yerrrrwaaaaaaaa?

    70 hours a week?!? You having a giraffe? The last thing that we need is MORE "professional" (I use the term loosely as the article also points out that all they need is a police background and a health check - no actual qualification or driving competence required)drivers out on the roads who have been that long behind the wheel!

    And it's seen as a bad thing that there aren't enough!

    £900 a week ! where do I sign up ?, oh but youve got to pay for the car, fuel it and work 60,70 hours a week.
    Training, dont worry taxi drivers are the most corteous, best behaved, most aware, profesional drivers out there ! Well just below bus drivers of course,cause they have even more right to be wherever they want, cause the roads belong to them . I of course am perfect, but then travelling about in the dead of night in a car asking some one from********** (insert your choice of location )for £16.50 dosnt sound like a laugh !
    be happy !
