  2. Funny isn't it - set up a system for people to contribute and comment, and then when one group you don't actually want to use it makes some thought out and constructive comments you can just accuse them of 'hijacking' the system.

    Sheesh.

As is pointed out in the piece, if motorists had responded in large numbers would they have been 'hijacking' the system?

It is really worrying that a supposedly democratic body should complain of "hijacking" because it didn't get the feed back it wanted from the conciliation process. Whereas, here in Scotland, our democratic bodies know how to deal with these things. They hold conciliations, them simple ignore the results and carry on the way they planned to do in the first place...

I like the pirates on bikes !! Especially the tandem with trailer (having spent Saturday with tandem and trailer and Sunday making a pirate costume for small person (newspaper hat, tinfoil hook and parrot on shoulder!)

How dare people be bothered enough about something and passionate about it to want to do something to improve it that they take the opportunity to respond to a consultative exercise and spoil the rubber stamping exercise! Some people really have no consideration for local government and how inconvenient it is for them to have to actually do something about it. Shocking.
