Average emissions for an electric car calculated as 75 gCO2/km. In France it would be 12 gCO2/km, but I guess that's a whole other debate.
And if government projections for de-carbonising electricity generation are correct then the figure drops to 3 gCO2/km by 2050.
The average CO2 emissions for a car in the UK at the moment is 208 gCO2/km according to the paper which is a lot higher than I would have guessed.
