Imagine...
- Less road wear and tear...
Fresher air...
No need for provision for cyclists as roads become cycleways...
Families able to cycle across town to school with less powered traffic at school gates.
Safer streets with healthier people.No... too many negatives! It'll never happen.

and in response to the cost of petrol finally putting people off driving when it's not needed? (the oft touted reason for tax rises)
Reduce fuel tax by a penny... I ask you (rolls eyes).
(and I'm a driver so not *that* biased!)
