I am looking to buy a folding bike, (some) cash burning a hole in my pocket now! Anyone on here got one for sale or know of one?
Thanks :)

IT’S TRUE!

Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

How much do you want to spend, and what sort of riding will you do on it? I have a Dahon Helios SL that I would like to sell at some stage. Trouble is, it isn't a cheap bike.
They do appear very often on Gumtree, seems people buy/get them bought for them, with no actual need/want/use for them and they go for sale almost straight out the box.
How much depends on the bike on offer, less is best but I don't mind paying a fair price(!)
Riding would be commuting type stuff probably when I have the odd short notice rail trip (like this weekend!) or the trains are up the spout and overcrowded (again!).
I suspect your bike would be at the very top of what I could afford (if not above :-/ ) but very nice.... perhaps you could pm me with an idea of how much you'd be looking for?
I have two, but the Mrs uses the other one and mine's not for sale. :-p
I saw a Raleigh Twenty in the Bike Station a few weeks back, don't know if that's for sale. I think they have some Moulton Minis too, but they are children's bikes... Maybe try some of the second hand bike shops? Eastside Bikes, Soul Cycles...
Gumtree occasionally has some bargains among the BSOs and overpriced road/mtb bikes.
eBay has plenty of folders, not always cheap though and of course it has the issue of mail order or 'collect in person only' in Hampshire or somewhere equally distant...
Would you believe it? An IKEA Raleigh folder appeared on Gumtree less than an hour ago... Only 50 quid!
What is going on? Are they reading this forum? A reasonable looking 'vintage' Bianchi folder for sale too. Also 50 smackers.
A rather swisher single speed Ridgeback folding bike available for £150...
N+0=(zen)
Although I reserve the right to tweak/modify/upgrade the bikes I do have, I now have what I would consider sufficient for what I do :-)
Thanks to Arrelcat I am now the owner of a rather nice Helios SL, which will be taking me on holiday at Sparrows tomorrow morning!
B-)
Thanks all for the input.
HURRAH!
CCE strikes again.
Two (presumably) satisfied customers.
I'm glad that this forum hasn't turned into a tawdry marketplace, but matching people for interesting machines is a useful service.
Must do a detailed spec for the 24" 753 Ultegra machine I no longer want...
Hope the original post wasn't too tawdry(!)
Certainly an interesting machine :)
"Hope the original post wasn't too tawdry(!)"
Just the right pitch. Worked too.
