Why is Tesco advertising bingo (specificlaly mecca bingo) on its milk jugs, and is it just me that thinks that is very wrong?

I just don't really want gambling advertised on my breakfast table.

Hmm I have some sympathy, not yet a parent (but soon! :-o :-D ) but I'm weary of the constant advertising pushed at me, let alone little ones.
Maybe the only answer is to decant milk into old fashioned milk jugs asa it comes into the house and throw the advertising into the recycling?Posted 13 years ago # -

Milk cartons are for 'advertising' missing persons surely.

@SRD - Wiseman Dairies might still deliver milk to you in a glass bottle that only ever advertises Wiseman. Bottles also go back get cleaned and re-filled. All this costs money of course but it makes you feel better at brekkie than reading about bingo
My old boss lived in Shandon colonies in 1960s and milk came by horse drawn cart. Every morning he heard the trundle then his downstairs neighbour scuttling out, shovel in hand, scraping up the cobbles for the feed for his roses. Those were the days, everyone on pashley type vehicles too
