On a previous thread when we discussed repair shops, I had been tempted to ask 'what about mobile repair', but thought that if such existed in Edinburgh, I would have heard of it. So was intrigued when this link popped up on gmail. Has anyone used this service?

Haven't used them, but might give them a go next time my bike needs attention. Sounds quite convenient to have them pick up and deliver for you.
I've wondered about bike/repair shops lending customers 'courtesy bikes' to use for a day whilst their bikes are being worked on, but these lads might have a better idea.

@SRD I tried this chap as workshop is in Currie. Did a basic service to a good level. Picked bike up in the van of an evening and returned next day. All good. However, was just a basic service and the secteur is still making the noise after about 50 miles that I do not like reminiscent of bearings going in either front wheel or bottom bracket

Any recommendations for a collection service that'll pick up from the office. My mtb needs recabled so thought I might as well treat it to a full service.
I'm a little pressed for time so probably wouldn't be able to drop it in to a lbs.

Have you used them @Paddyirish?
@iain, is that the poor chap who was trying to repair your shifter?

@steveo
They come pretty regularly to my office to do a 15 point service for a tenner. If it cooncides with a day when I am in, I always take them up on it. Everything works smoother and they also highlight any larger issues that may need looking at. Once I took them up on a bigger issue (can't recall what it is now) - they collected, but I ended up going to their office near Roseburn as I could recover the bike a bit earlier. No reason to complain about their work.
