CycaLogical on Dangerous Sport or Mode of Transport
Although I'm a "vehicular cyclist" through experience and by necessity, and I don't really expect there will ever be separate infrastructure to all destinations, I don't want cycling thought of as an adventure sport - I use bikes for transporting my family!
The separationalists make good points too, and I'll use cycling infrastructure by preference when with the children, even if it takes longer (the kids aren't that fast anyway!).
Of course, as discussed in the "why I don't cycle in Edinburgh" topic, the trick would be to improve both infrastructure and the on road experience. But how?
