But for our window display instore we are getting an actual bike and bike locks etc...

Major sad face at having just bought new stuff for my bike...! Wonder if I'll be allowed to swipe it when we are done...

I quite like the look of those. I've been storing my D-lock down the back of my pants and jeans for years now. Glad to see I'm soon to become mainstream too.

Yeah, disappointed it's only for men so far, but if it does well they should expand hopefully!

They did actually launch last season but were only available online or in the flagship store. I'm excited to get them in.

Are they baggy round the thighs? I need a size up on the waist so's to get a fit on the leg.

Didn't look too baggy, more skinny boys. Waterproof chinos might be worth a punt. What discount is available from Levi Strauss & co?

Looks a nice product - possibly worth a punt for dress down fridays.

    Linky levis cycle jeans

Although the pedant in me laughs at the "raised back yolk" - i have visions of cyclists being egged! But seriously, bluejeans girl, tell your marketing dept it is a "yoke"!

@rtc The trouser-style causing exposure of the lower back/upper buttock rather than the target market of this sort of skinny-legged nether-crushing clothing, who would seem to be alive and well going by the video?

the latter really, as soon as a subculture get picked up by a major brand the death knell is sounded. How can it be cool if levi's are making them?

I've only bought one pair of denim trousers in the past sixteen years so have no idea which manufacturers are considered cool these days. Not that I ever had any idea of that anyway. Are hipsters (people) a subculture? I thought they were an experimental real-world division of the catwalk industry, responsible for testing and stealthily-implementing some of the less practical ideas based on existing standard production clothing.

Hipster or not...I'm interested to see! I will post again when we actually get the stock in.

Could probably do a cheeky bit of discount! :)

My aunt used to go to Los Angeles to visit her pal in around 1983. Used to get her to bring me back 501s - cost $17. Wee guy from Flip in Glasgow who looked like Buddy Holly immediately knelt down to inspect my ankles when I told him this. Alas the jeans did not have the rows of red thread stitching them together that would apparently have made them worth money. I saw from the website of Levi Strauss& Co that same bargains to be had in USA with jeans costing $48 instead of £80. Except ones made in USA out of Selvedge Denim which cost $178. Which is all of course a pre-amble to the fact that I do like a cheeky bit of discount.

Look interesting that this 'Built around the 511™ Skinny Jean, the Levi’s® brand’s most popular skinny fit for men, the 511™' puts me off a bit.
I have a hard enough time getting normal jeans to fit, even more so now that all those skinny slim fit trousers have flooded the market place.
Like Steveo a lot of trousers just don't go over the thigh region.

    Levi's 531s?

When it comes to jeans they always seem to be too big at the waist or too small around the thighs. Cargo-style belt useful for waist control as it offers infinite adjustment.

Wee bit interested - do you have a denim kid on trouser or just the coloured trousers + jeans?

Princes St? Walked past a cycle-like window display in the Levis shop this morning. Suspect a bit skinny for the RJ physique ...
