Just spotted this intersting looking child's cruiser-type bike dumped by a bin at junction of Argyle Place and Roseneath Street. Looks at first glance in good nick, just needs some TLC, minor spanner-works and a saddle?

Well done to ALL posters

what is the protocol for abandoned bikes?
I see a bike locked up near the innocent
been there for months (used to have a rain cover)
now I see it is missing the cover and wheels!
so whats the deal? leave a note to see if anyone still owns it?
seems a waste to leave it to die on a lamp post
protocol is someone still owns them
policee will only take action if it is causing an abstruction and there have been numerous complaints
I spoke to the bike station about the vast number of pigeon guano encrusted bikes that have been locked in our communal garage for over 10 years - they said they will leave a note for a month then collect the bike with a big saw. which reminds me...
I'll maybe leave a note and if no reply
pass on the details to the Bike Station
has SPDs,so it was someones decent bike at some point
I like the way spds make a bike "decent"
I would contact Bike Station first - don't put a note on it yourself - I presume they have a note that is written in Legalese
Aw that's a really nice wee bike. I would have grabbed it for the kids.
