Thanks K. You'd have thought unclipping down a bank such that the rider disappears while the bike stays, Marie Celeste-like, on the path would take some practice, but it was pure instinct. :D

I was lucky it was a sandy bank rather than mud...

After closer inspection, my tyre that got a slow puncture was of similar wear-levels to Anths. Round profile worn flat across the middle, casing showing through in a number of places. Again, been riding around on it oblivious, glad of the flat happening how and when it did to make me inspect it properly and replace the tyre at my leisure.

Runner Up: Wingpig, cos it'll annoy his non-Copenhagenize tendencies.. ;)

I feel I should point out that I was wearing the same make and model of shorts as anth.

  7. Yes, but far more stylishly, and I let myself down with the white rain mac, and non-colour matching hat.

    Leisurely urban cyclo-cross in Edinburgh
Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining some of Edinburgh's bike enthusiasts on a leisurely ride of 45miles, which took us in and around this beautiful city. The manfriend and I started the day with a healthy breakfast and set off to meet the others for a 9:30am start.

Arrelcat that's very odd. Doesn't happen for me. What browser are you using?

I'll also pass the message on.

@Arellcat - clearly your ISP is offended by pictures of bicycles and cyclists enjoying themselves on quiet roads - riding beside each other, being where nature intended there should only be cars, terrorising meeting pedestrians, dogs and children, and having an obscene amount of fun...

kap's recent posting of Anna's photo has reminded me of what a pleasurable day this was. I'd be keen to do something similar, perhaps all studded up, over Christmas/New Year - what d'ya think?
