what the hell semi-nekid girls have to do with carbon wheelsets I don't know.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 16years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Nil points for the Ferrari rip-off typeface, and -2 points for inspiring the comments from Jean Ann Terrell and Valerie Brannon.
Where are the semi-nekkid guys draping themselves over high modulus ultra-responsive carbon fibre sewing machines?
Not semi-nekkid butt we women do see a lot of butt in lycra, or so many complain!! Don't hear the chaps complaining...and have never understood why they have this urge to get past us!!
Pirelli have been selling tyres for years with saucy lasses semi-pornographic calendars, and the car industry is well-known for having scantily clad, pretty young things (s)lavishly lying across bonnets...
@Arellcat do sewing machines come in carbon fibre? Zinging along due to being so lightweight!
Ms Pendlaton has been advertising her own range of bikes. I assume she was paid a lot for this.
I always thought carbon was a newfangled fad, prone to catastrophic structural failure, as well as ugly.
Now that I've seen the woman in her pants near one, I'm sold! I'll have three, thanks.
I can see blokes in semmits and long johns being more in keeping with Ms Pendleton's machines. Hardly what I'd envisage when I hear the name.
You can get carbon Fibre sewing machines!?!? Wow can I trade in my 60's Singer?
@DaveC is that hand operated or a treadle? Singer used to make bikes, motorbikes and cars too.
Maybe gay women might like it?
yeah cos none of them are feminists.
ruggtomcat that isn't what I meant...
But its showing a bit of steriotyping about lesbians no?
Not really...more human nature...sex sells...usually anyway. I was more trying to point out that scantily clad women do encourage some people to buy and that I see no reason why this effect would be limited to heterosexual men, when bisexual and lesbian ladies may also be susceptible.
I fear I may be digging myself a deeper hole though so I shall stop.
