There has been a proposal from "Prospect" magazine that silly bike should be ban. At the start of the article the writer in not totally anti bike, but it fairly obvious that he doesn't actually ride a bike. For another point of view see here.

The giveaway for me was surely when the writer accused mountain bikes of having a back-breaking bent over handlebar position. I mean sure, it's hardly crank-forward but you'd struggle to get a much more upright position, I feel like a human parachute!
Still, I found it mildly humourous rather than annoying.

I think the "Prospect" piece was intended to be humorous, but the but missed the mark as the writer doesn't really know what he is writing about, whereas Bike Stob (who is generally very good at sending up silly bikes) meanly showed his irritation with the "Prospect" piece.
