    I somehow ended up reading a blog that is supposed to be about family biking, which had a discussion about which is better 'panniers of trailers'. I then foolishly decided to chuck in my own 2p. and got the following auto-reply thanking me for my comment and asking me to subscribe to their blog: "We are firm believers that if WE could pursue our passion and follow our dreams, then YOU can too. Our goal is to provide both inspiration and encouragement to help you reach your own unreachable star!"

    is this sort of tripe common?

    I replied to the email and said that I was just a utility cyclist and not looking for a lifecoach. She replied quite civily and asked what I thought her auto-reply ought to look like!

    I enjoy these little voyages of discovery when you have absolutely no idea what a thread title is about until you read it.

    And no, I haven't encountered that! Although I am tempted to implement it...

    SRD - so a more interesting autoreply than the norm and then a person interested in feedback, plus we have all amused ourselves. Quite good really. Did you coach the lifecoach into less saccharin statement?
