And no, I'm not going to link to it cos it just gives them revenue. That bastion of rational and logical thought, the delightful Melanie Philips, is giving her views on cyclists today (after three paragraphs of 'oh I approve of more cycling, it's great' it then descends into the usual 'they all do this that and the next thing and are virtually deliberately trying to knock pedestrians down').
Comments are and will be predictable nonsense (think EEN x a billion). For the very same reason as I won't be watching 'War on the Roads' on the BBC this week, I merely scanned the article when a link was sent to me and I opened it without thinking. It's a pity Ms Philips would do some thinking before fingers touch keyboard.
What gets me is it's the usual 'some' cyclists break the law because they're idiots (which is true) which gets conflated into 'all' cyclists do it; whereas 'some' motorists break the law because they're idiots and from that either the laws are stupid, or the driver was unlucky to be caught. And I can do without being hated thankyou very much...
