The World’s petrol obsession is under attack. As a result, work-bikes and trikes are being manufactured again and re-introduced into factories. Businesses are starting to use them too, for local deliveries. Perhaps its time to get my old Pashley grocery trike out of storage?

I don't quite understand the low gravity feature. Is it a Star Trek thing?

@wfb, no, it's a special technology Raleigh developed during the war to help our troops get heavy things uphill more easily, thus enabling us to defeat the beastly hun.
Of course after the war the evil petroleum companies bought up the technology and bikes such as the one pictured were recalled and their low gravity units removed and destroyed.
It is rumoured that some french authorities may have worked with the petrol giants to kill off this technology as they were worried that if it became widespread there was a slight risk that a British cycle team might manage to win the Tour de France. This would of course spell the end of all cycling in France as no true Frenchman could possibly engage in any sport in which a Briton might be seen to be superior to them..

Things have moved on in 10 years!

XYZ Cargo is based in a shared makers space at the Edinburgh Open Workshop, Somerville continued. They said: “This means that not only can small producers thrive, because we have lower overheads, but it also gives me access to everything from drill presses and chop saws to laser cutters, industrial sewing machines and cnc machines. Name it, we have it.
