Interesting, I thought, and clicked through, only to find... 2012 has, on average over the whole year, been more expensive than the similarly averaged cost in 2011. The article actually states that fuel prices are 'almost' back to what they were at the start of the year (being lower just now) so fuel is at this moment, cheaper than at this point in 2011.
What I also find odd is that almost everything will be more expensive averaged over 2012 than averaged over 2011 because of inflation!
