There was a chap on Today pointing out the activity was low, and the actual level of disruption would be minimal.
I just know that if I'm likely to have to pop over to Iceland if I want to see an aurora this year

Trouble is, central Iceland is not so often within the auroral activity band

you can get a budget priced flight from Edinburgh these days, three days each week:
(budget = booked well in advance, natch)

Of course, if a massive CME hits when you're in the air, you will crash and die horribly!
