Sorry not looking for people doing the odd audax.

Was at a meeting yesterday involving people from CEC, SportScotland and others looking at infrastructure provision/potential.. Talked about pump tracks and MTB training opportunities plus Jack Kane/Hunters Hall.

Interesting mix of aspirations and tensions...

    Looking for people planning/running events/activities/facilities in clubs/schools/other.

Tell everyone here or PM me please.

WE've been looking at doing some sort of "city cross" cyclocross race in the summer - probably aim to have it on Arthurs Seat if possible.

    "on Arthurs Seat if possible"

    Almost certainly not!

Presume you are well aware that Craigmillar Castle Park is a 'favoured' place.

Could be options around The Braids.

PM more info if you want.

I'm assuming "someone" is making contact with the various cycling clubs in the city?

(How about triathlon? Does that count as "cycle sport"?)

"I'm assuming "someone" is making contact with the various cycling clubs in the city?"

Can't answer as such, there was someone from ERC and people from SC.

I'm just looking to find out about CCE people and also things away from the 'known' clubs - and probably more about 'activity' than 'sport'.

Also places/activities/people doing/wanting to do things like Cyclone.

Ah, OK. I do the odd triathlon, myself. I might drop you a PM if I remember.

Actually, having re-read the thread and seen the bit about "planning/running events..." etc I won't.

I try help out with ERC with marshalling. I've also been asked to get involved in helping the planning and organisation of the Ingliston Criteriums this year, where I usually help out on sign-on. Ingliston is about the only place they can run the crits (needs a closed-road tarmac circuit), which is a shame because the location is a bit out of the way so doesn't get any crowds.

@kaputnik No crowds? You seem to be forgetting that Wilma's Cow and I turned up to watch one of those crits last year. :-p

@PS - I am forgetting because I spent that whole day doing sign-on by myself as someone hadn't turned up, so didn't even get out of the pavillion!
