The Bike Chain is now The Bike Co-op

We at Edinburgh Bicycle Co-op are proud to be taking over the reins at The Bike Chain. From today, we will be running it as our second shop in the city, and we promise to honour all commitments made by TBC. For instance, if you've booked your bike in for a repair, just bring it along as before to the same address, 30 Rodney Street.

Similarly, if you enjoy a bit of friendly bike chat (look out for the Friday question) or want to keep up with the latest trends, events and offers, then pop on over to our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/EdinburghBicycle. We look forward to seeing you.

For more information about us, please visit http://www.edinburghbicycle.com or email enquiries@edinburghbicycle.com or phone 0131 331 5010.

I thought I saw a post on TBC a while back, but cant find it now

    "Edinburgh Canonmills"

    "
Their spokesman, Ged Holmyard, explained why the Bike Co-op are extremely excited to be opening a second branch in their native city.

“We have worked hard to make our shop on Bruntsfield Links a destination of choice for cyclists and cyclists-to-be since the 1970s. However, we are acutely aware that the modern retailer must strive to make shopping as convenient as possible for our potential customers. Having a second shop in the vibrant environs of Canonmills will perfectly complement our offer in Bruntsfield by making it easier for the folk of north Edinburgh to experience our unique mix of exceptional bicycles and cycle equipment, backed up with excellent service.

As i said on other thread -

    "

    That'll be EBC Metro then.

    ...

MUST be for all those people trapped in the north of the city by the tram line.

    "

Oh and so the original is now "Edinburgh Bruntsfield".

There are already two in Manchester - Rusholme and City Tower Cycle Hub.

Handy for me - close to the office and with a little detour, on the way home.

Aye but I imagine things like this have to be agreed weeks in advance and at that time they may not have signed for the tbc business?

    @DC

    Yes.

Just slightly bad timing/small missed opportunity.

Yes, it's likely they would have missed the deadline. But I imagine the cover letter which always comes with the catalogue will mention the new shop.

they said they were going to put a PoP poster up in their window last Saturday. Anybody know if it's there? I know they still have a good pile of flyers if anybody needs them for their workplace.
