LeJoG record attempter approaching Edinburgh

He's at Garstang just now. Edinburgh very early in the morning I expect. Hope he manages to navigate his way through without problems this time.
Seems to have timed it right with regards to wind - nice bit of assistance for day 1 at least. Ideally it turns into a northerly this time Wednesday but that's not looking likely...

Haha hope not. Last time I remember tweeting him to avoid the bypass, which was on his route. I've heard several people complain that Edinburgh is the most confusing part of the LEJOG route. Should be easy enough to clearly signpost it!

Yes well...
IS there a recognised LEJoG route?
In the past it was legal to use bypass (I think??) as well as A90.

I think if he gets there early enough he should be allowed to use the bypass & A90 with police permission. Or a police escort!
