Are you talking about the Spylaw Tavern in Colinton?
Posted 5 years ago # -
yes

Not going back to read every post, I'm ging to assume it is at the Spylaw Tav in Colinton.
Has anyone considered where there is reliable cycle parking? Last time I parked my bike there, other cyclists put their bikes in the small opening opposite the entrance which blocked a car accessing the drive.

Good point Dave C - I did point out at beginning that parking of bikes would be an issue. I have a cable that will go round about 4 bikes.
I will contact the Spylaw

Plenty of railings up at the top of Spylaw Street and Bridge Road, should be able to hold a fair number of bikes.

They have a Jardin d'bierre which could be used in winter to lock up bikes. I like this idea as I'll be travelling back from Newcastle on the 22nd so likely be very late to the party.

Yes, spotted bike chained to top railings tonight.

@gembo - you need to sing that badly (or sing badly?) can't we just put a sound proof box over your head or something?
You can breathe in between songs....Posted 5 years ago # -

@unhurt, see germ thread, will be lovely to see you so long as you have letter from doctor saying you are germ free. Unless the Macedonian has done the trick? I am on a Family Perrin, cote du Rhone known as Les Cardinaux.

Does anyone have a particular early Thursday evening thing I could do so that I arrive at the pub at 8.30pm?
Posted 5 years ago # -
@CHdot - ever post may be slightly OT
Posted 5 years ago # -
@genbo been grotty from Thursday AM so by this Thursday PM I should be non-infectious. I undertake not to cough on you or touch anything adjacent to you with unwashed hands regardless.
Posted 5 years ago # -
@inhirt I accept
Posted 5 years ago # -
@genba I suppose that is what I get for typing on my phone.
Posted 5 years ago # -
@nhort that is correct
Posted 5 years ago # -
Afraid the Newcastle trip will be an overnighter so despite for the first time this happening within walking distance of my house, I shall be absent.
Posted 5 years ago # -
So far then, after 8.30pm there could be me, unhurt and IWRATS. I'm comin up, we're gonna get this party started
Posted 5 years ago # -
A squadron of bears heading for the forest with bog roll and spades.
@gembo + @unhurt = quite talkative? @IWRATS granted observer status? @SRD will surely be there?
Posted 5 years ago # -
I'm attempting to secure a pass. I may be a bit later than 2030.
Posted 5 years ago # -
The ever taciturn @iwrats? Fear not, we'll be sure to pass you the speaking conch from time to time.
Posted 5 years ago # -
I am planning to give my Thursday music practice as rest this week and come over to Colinton as well. If people are arriving after 20:30 I shall go via home on my way from work.
@gembo what song are you going to present this time? Mr Bill and I refer to 'Once in a Lifetime' as 'gembo's song'.
