  1. Actually, The Bike Chain have just started stocking Cotic stuff - not sure if it's only the MTB frames, or if they're doing the road frames as well.

I was looking at a roadrat for SWMBO before we settled on the Croix de Fer. Very nice...

Oh I like the X as it has drop handle bars and I can put mudguards and slick tyres on....

Just have to work my other half....

Saw guy yesterday with disc brakes on front of single speed. To me (I am biased) that shows that

one trendy thing plus another trendy thing does not equal a trendy thing

I had to adjust the wife's front disc brake this morning as she complained it was a little loose (so much for the all-day bike maintenance course she went on ;-)

Half a turn of an allen key and a twist of the barrel adjuster and it was running sweetly again - this is the first time they've been touched since it rolled out of the shop. (I took the opportunity to inspect the pad wear and was surprised that they still look like new.)

The bike is now a year old and a commuter (although it wasn't ridden through the manky weather over winter). Not bad really - I used to have to wrangle the calipers on her old bike on a regular basis to keep them centred and allow for wear.

these are very convincing arguments, eventually all will be disc I am sure. I wish sometimes I stuck to vinyl but progress can be good.
