    Friday 2 Jan - 2 moving ; 1 parked

    Saturday 3 Jan - 1 parked

More positively, meadows paths heaving with kids in new bikes, including one adorable girl who wobbled and yelled 'beginner' as we went past her!

Saw a driver in a silver car try to drive up to the Sainsbury's local on MMW yesterday. Got grounded on camber when crossing MMW, entering from George Sq. Backed up into George Sq after he realised he would lose his front air dam if he continued. I'm sure he would've just parked on the Plaza if he could've.

    Thats amazing!

How can people even conceive that move is rational/legal/allowable????? Pretty sure the one way sign down George Square lane is clear enough !!

I had a wee bit of success getting Sciennes PS to retweet my photo of the football parents parked on the grass near melville drive and it 'seems' to have improved - I reserve judgement until next week recommences.

But that only works because the school guilts them into it - similar to telling parents who park on the zigzags (my wife usually has words with them) that they are endangering children.

Sara, I am totally with you on this, its getting worse - saw your harrison park photos earlier too - people just wont park on the road and walk 20 feet - we have turned into the USA on that front.

I love the irony that British Military Fitness feel the need to park their vans on the meadows as they can't be bothered/aren't fit enough to carry their equipment the 20 yards from Melville Drive.

I'm afraid I don't pass that way very often. If anyone is nearby though their class times at the weekend are:
    Sat 09:00
    Sun 10:30

Weekend classes: Victor Hugo Cafe on Melville Terrace at the South of the Park. (This is due to parking restrictions at the weekends.)

Update: I have seen at least one vehicle driving or parked on the meadows everyday since New year.

Today was the tree-planting lorry discussed elsewhere and a council van driving the length of NMW. Asked him what he was doing. He was surveying the park for fallen trees, asked why he couldn't park the van and walk, said he had 26 parks to cover. Resisted temptation to suggest he try a bike!
