Interesting indeed, Min. According to that, Edinburgh is more pro-Remain than the most pro-Brexit districts are for Brexit. Indeed, Edinburgh is the most pro-Remain district in that whole map.

For my own health and sanity I am declining to fume for the time being. But this whole thing has been a disgrace.

Some pithy but accurate comments tonight @bax. If I can cross-thread, I liked your Johnston Terrace analysis.

Sunderland reported to be touching 60% leave. Newcastle possibly leave.

Looking bad for remain if that is the case.

And that tw@t Trump is in Scotland today. Marine le Pen and all the other right wing drongos are saying they want a referendum too. The world is going to hell in a handcart. Thank you David.

    Mia culpa, mia maxima culpa.

I bitterly lament that my generation left politics to a bunch of public school branleurs. We went off to do other things and left our society in the hands of those pathologically unsuited to the task and that has now come back to bite us with long-honed teeth. Maybe we couldn't have done better, but we should have tried.

McGuinness has already called for a referendum on Irish reunification, as allowed for in the Good Friday Agreement.

I'm shocked to wake up to this. I genuinely thought there wasn't a chance of this happening.

So, a deal done by David Cameron to placate a few hard right Tory nutters has resulted in the UK leaving the EU. Surely one of the worst political misjudgements ever made by a PM in recent times.

Now we will end up with one of Gove, Johnston or May as PM - or Philip Hammond might do a John Major and sneak in, as these are all so unpalatable.

In the last few hours I have seen Nigel Farage celebrating, supported by a cast of the French national front, Dutch right wingers and various other undesirables. I hoped to never see this - especially before breakfast!

Colleague has just tried and failed to lighten the mood by complaining that he's lost £1 to someone. Tw@t next to me is going on about immigration. I've now put my headphones in.

I'm firmly in the anger stage. My parents better hadn't call me today or I'll get myself disinherited. Not that my Dad's shares or house will be worth anything anyway.
