You do not need to take action at this time

Based on your responses, you do not need to take any action to prepare for the Brexit deadline of 31 October 2019.

This may change. Subscribe to email alerts about changes to Brexit information that may affect you.

    That is stunningly reassuring...

    I beg to differ.

It seems to be already considering the UK as not within the EU, whereas my current place of work should be considered both within the UK and EU. I am also considering driving after 31st October, and intend to travel within and without the EU at some point in my life after 31at October, albeit not immediately and perhaps not even for years. The questions therefore seem a little rushed and poorly-phrased in several places.

Didn’t notice the ferret question -

Renew your passport earlier than planned, buy a GB sticker for your car, and prepare to wait four months before you can take your ferret on holiday: these are all among the snippets of advice offered by the government’s new Brexit website for British citizens planning to travel to the EU after 31 October.

The Get Ready site, which is accompanied by a major advertising campaign, launched on Sunday and unequivocally states that Brexit will happen by the end of next month. It asks users a series of multiple choice questions and spells out the precautions that individuals should take immediately to make sure they are prepared for the UK to crash out of the EU without a deal.

I see from the headlines in the coffee shop papers that the government might just... ignore any legislation passed by Parliament that it finds inconvenient? That's 100% a fantastic precedent to set. Great stuff. Very comforting.

How many decades is the writ of the WILL OF THE PEOPLE as determined by a narrow margin in an advisory referendum in 2016 going to run, I wonder? What will it be interpreted to mean in five years, or ten?

I'm really struggling to imagine the headlines and outrage that would (rightly) come forth if, say, Jeremy Corbyn, Nicola Sturgeon or Patrick Harvie had suggested doing similar.

And yet, when it's a Conservative government...

“determined by a narrow margin in an advisory referendum”

History has been rewritten and we are being ‘forced’ to live with simplistic binaries -

“Are you going to side with those who want to scrub the democratic verdict of the people – and plunge this country into chaos.”

    https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/boris-johnson-jeremy-corbyn-side-no-deal-brexit

Also some people have lost perspective, and irony.

“plunge this country into chaos” - I think that’s what is happening now. No need to wait for the unlikely event of a Corbyn Gov.

A sober assessment of what that chaos could look like for Scotland.

That document is remarkable and I can only express sympathy for its authors.

UK manufacturing output crashed to a seven-year low in August as Brexit doubts intensify and a wider economic slowdown hurts firms, according to a closely followed measure of sector activity.

Even if the UK of GB&NI could somehow remain in one piece that piece will be practically ungovernable for years?

UK as a political entity or as a series of islands where people have to deal with their daily lives?

Brussels has responded with bafflement at Boris Johnson’s claims of progress in the Brexit talks, with EU officials warning that discussions are going nowhere.

    "October 17th being mentioned."

New ploy seems to be to win todays vote, then vote against his call for a GE. Let him stew as a lame duck PM.

Don't know if Corbyn can keep on task though, he has delusions of power, and still doesn't understanding he won't win an election.

"delusions of power" - plenty of MPs suffering that. Jo Swinson for one.
