  2. It does seem to be an utterly amazingly stupid thing to do. Not necessarily because of the (proven) risk of him passing out at the wheel (though lightning can obviously strike twice); but as much because the publicity about the case and the high profile nature of his condition, there was always going to be a massive chance he'd get caught / seen.

    Well, it's either stupidity or a blatant disregard. And with the possibility of a private prosecution still hanging over him it does hint at a mindset that truly doesn't care about the potential harm he could cause...

    He has now appeared in court on dangerous driving charges, and expected to return at a later date.

    Good luck finding a sympathetic, even impartial, jury. Words civil enough to put down here otherwise fail me.
