    Thanks to Peter Kay and James Corden Edinburgh and south east Scotland now has 8000 people who are members of lift share and none of them are driving into Edinburgh on the A70 which is one long tail back of single occupant vehicles

    Hm. According to the latest statistics, there are over 2.5 million private and light goods vehicles registered in Scotland. 8,000 of these are registered with the lift share service. About a third or a percent of the total number of private vehicles. Whoop-de-do.

    I wish them luck but this is really tokenistic to portray this as a success.

    Aha! Is this the fabled car sharing information that the Variable Matrix Signs on trunk roads tell you can be found on TrafficScotland? (Go look, there is no mention on the TS website)

    I saw a car being shared a few months ago going the wrong way down ferry road followed by two police cars in hot pursuit. Didn't look very green to me

    @Ragingbike Well they do say it's better to seek forgiveness than to ask permission, though I suspect whoever said that wasn't talking about the non-consensual sharing of their car...
