Cycling home this evening (rush hour) on the NEPN, at around St George’s School, and saw someone on a powered scooter doing, I kid you not, in excess of 30mph. It was, frankly, terrifying the speed they were going at.

I didn’t think powered scooters were able to go that fast; clearly I was wrong.

Not really sure what the point of this post is, other than to warn folks to stay safe out there.

Yeah, I've clocked that guy a couple of times. Some of those powered scooters can do 50+mph, there's videos of the them on the Paris Peripherique (motorway ring road).

I've also seen hooded guys on a petrol motorbike at around 16:45 heading North/East on the NEPN.

Talking to another female parent, this has a real impact, it makes her scared to use the path. She has even been accosted by NEDs who demanded she open her pannier!

I've noticed an increase in the amount of modded electric bikes and scooters on the paths of late. I'm afraid theres not much that can be done about it, except hope that the police increase their patrols on the paths, if anything during to and from school times.

Horses good for controlling crowds, due to their high-stance and intimidating nature. Not so good for motorbikes I don't think

Probably not, but regular/irregular police presence would be good

    Do they still have/use bicycles?
