CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 16years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

*bump*
Interesting!
narrower, slower streets dramatically reduce accidents, especially fatalities.
This man should come give the Council a lecture about 20mph zones.
err, I don't think he would agree with you, the point being its how you make the environment, not how you zone it. You know there are lots of places on the mainland where the limit is 20kph!?!
That's what I mean. The council is too scared or broke or whatever to put up the cash to actually redesign streets to reduce speed and increase safety, but they will pay lip service by designating some streets that are already de-facto c. 20mph zones thanks to being narrow already by sticking up a few signs. Even though our own Police have already said they can't or won't enforce them...
20kph is too slow for narrow streets. Us cyclists would always be getting stuck behind cars! (More often than we already do...)
