Time to put thermals on and go home.
This morning out East Lothianshire it was nice, but felt incredibly cold - even with decent socks, beefy overshoes, the tootsies were baltic.
Some ice on farm roads, was interesting on the 23's pumped to max.
After I left the guys and made my way home, saw three (more?) pelotons of ERC bods going opp direction just outside Dalkeith.
Aye, it's a bit nippy. My hands were feeling the cold on the way home from Porty, and we were going pretty slowly.
THe granny on my chimney was hardly moving so I ventured out on the whang this morning. Alas, wind picked up and I had not put on galoshes so had cold feet. Chap taking the whole A70 to Ayr stayed with me for a while for a nice bit of company before he headed on his way at speed I could not match. Fair bit of ice similar to Long Dalmahoy - I think from burst pipes, little streams/drains running down the roadside. Once I reached ruin at South Lanarkshire border I turned and zoomed back. Couple of other singletons out but that was it.
