It was nice to see the great variety of recumbents there

    Don't encourage them;-)

Bella Bathurst 'The Bicycle Book' dismisses folding bikes, Moultons and recumbents.
I loved her 'The Lighthouse Stevensons' book so was bit surprised to read the following:

"They look ridiculous and can't corner" (intro xiii)

Looking ridiculous is fair enough but to say they can't corner is so untrue. I reckon she has a real phobia of them and only toned it down a bit when the book was sub edited;-)

What she would have said about the Hase Pino....?

That ice trike looks like a go-cart when it turns, if thats not good handling what is.

It was good to put faces to usernames this morning - my apologies for having to disappear promptly, perhaps leaving some pent up demand to try the Pino!

An interesting array of bikes there, many of which I would have been interested to ride too, so perhaps the try-a-bike afternoon is worth pursing...

Just in case anyone is following this and missed the other "Try a Bike" thread:

We've a date, and it looks as if it will be somewhat family orientated, but don't let the presence of sprogs put you off...
